Hello, my name is Sue Zecco, founder of The Pampered Pet. After graduating high school in 1976, I took a college course in kennel management. Grooming happened to be my favorite class and where I found a great love and passion for making pets beautiful and feeling great. After working in a few area shops, and finding I didn’t like what they were doing. Ray my boyfriend at the time, now husband, said “Do you think you can do this on your own?” So, on November 21, 1977 The Pampered Pet was born. It became somewhat of a family affair with brothers, sisters, mom and even my Grandpa helping out in any way they could. I was loving what I was doing and so were the customers! So much so that we began hiring employees to help with the growing amount of business we were getting. Before long I was attending grooming shows and entering grooming competitions. Just local shows at first, but then began traveling to shows around the country, with a main goal, to become part of Groom Team USA. This I achieved every year I competed, usually finishing in the top five and even making it to number one in the country. Meanwhile at home, The Pampered Pet was also thriving with the best group of groomers l’ve had the pleasure of training and working side by side with for many years. The longevity of our team astounds me when I think about it. Carrie has been with us for 35 years, Rose, Angela, Bethany, Laura have all been here for over 20 years each. Kelley over I2 years Melanie over 10 years. Briannah over 5 years and the newer girls, Sarena & Naomi, have now been with us for over 1 year. These groomers I am very proud to say in my opinion, are the best groomers around. So, I began The Pampered Pet when I was 19 years young. Married Ray, my high school sweetheart, had our son Christopher, who now has two children of his own with his wife Leanne, raised many beautiful poodles, have groomed clients pets whose grandparents started with me way back on Granite St in Worcester. So generations of people and their dogs have come through our doors in the past 46 years. It is now time to turn my life’s work over to a new, very energetic young man who would love to continue The Pampered Pet legacy. You my very dear clients will not miss a beat, the same wonderful groomers and staff will continue along with the new owner Mr. Tesfaye Bihonegne. Please welcome him with kindness and patience as he “learns the ropes of this business”. This is bittersweet for Ray and I to put this wonderful chapter of our lives behind us. We have loved loved loved our clients, their pets and this wonderful business, especially our employees, that have given us so much. We will be forever grateful, and wish peace, happiness and good health for you, your families and your beloved pets!

Hello, my name is Tesfaye Bihonegne and I am the CEO & owner of The Pampered Pet. In January 2024, The Pampered Pet was renamed “Mr B’s Pampered Pets Inc.” in honor of my late father Worku “Mr. B” Bihonegne who passed away from cancer in April 2023 at the age of 75, however we will continue doing business as “The Pampered Pet”. Previously, I have worked as an EMT and project manager for healthcare companies before assuming the role of CEO & owner of The Pampered Pet. I have always loved animals and have 2 pups at home with my lovely girlfriend Emely. Leo, who is a Husky/Chow rescue from Arkansa & his sister Lulu, an Australian Shepherd. My mission revolves around creating a business that not only benefits pets but also uplifts the community! I am thankful for the team that we have and rest assured every pet will receive the same affection & care we lavish our own pets!
